With over a decade of experience in the educational realm, I've had the privilege of teaching in Leander ISD before transitioning to private tutoring when the pandemic emerged, coinciding with the joy of welcoming my first child into the world. We just welcomed our second child, another boy, this past February. As a native Texan and proud alumna of Texas Christian University (Go Frogs!), I bring a deep-rooted passion for education to every interaction.
As an avid reader and self-proclaimed book nerd, I find immense joy in exploring diverse genres and discovering new authors who can enthrall and captivate me. My love for the written word extends into my teaching philosophy, where I relish in guiding students through the writing process, helping them uncover their unique voices and fostering confidence in their abilities as writers.
I am committed to creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to explore, create, and excel. Whether it's igniting a love for literature or sharpening writing skills, I am dedicated to supporting each student on their educational journey.

What type of content will be covered?
Reading
We will delve into a diverse selection of novels spanning various genres and themes, providing students with a rich literary experience. Through engaging class discussions and in-depth text analysis, students will develop critical thinking skills and gain deeper insights into the nuances of each work we explore.
Writing
We will immerse ourselves in the writing process, exploring personal narratives, persuasive compositions, and analytical essays. Through targeted instruction and hands-on practice, students will refine their writing skills, honing their ability to craft compelling narratives, persuasively present arguments, and analyze texts with clarity and insight.
Grammar
Comprehensive instruction on grammar rules tailored to each student's grade level, ensuring a solid foundation for their writing skills to flourish. By addressing specific instructional targets aligned with grade-level standards, students will receive targeted support to enhance their writing abilities and foster continuous growth throughout the course.
